#SHAKEDOWN interrogates many high-profile cases. Besides unraveling incredible insights in their true crime narratives, the detectives search for compelling stories about the human drama – beyond the misery and destruction of true crime.
The search for justice must necessarily be a pursuit beyond the courts and the law, even beyond the court of public opinion. In this sense, the authors plumb the ether for constructive insights that build societies and communities, helping us to emerge from the trauma of criminality and corruption.
Originally from New England, Lisa Wilson currently resides in California, USA.
After years of discussing cases with fellow armchair detectives, and serving as jury forewoman in an attempted murder case, Lisa decided to start her own blog. Since then, she’s co-authored several books about high-profile cases, has covered trials from court, visited scenes, spoken with witnesses, interviewed with various legal analysts and media and has dabbled in podcasting.
Although she has numerous years of experience analyzing cases and criminals, Lisa calls herself Juror13 simply because she identifies more with the public than the correspondents. She comes to her cases as if it’s the first day of trial, objectively pores over the details and psychologies of all involved, and renders the conclusions that aren’t always easy to hear.
